A New Online Photo Community–Tookapick

Hello, and happy Tuesday!  I want to share some photos today that I’ve been working on as part of a new project.  The website tookapic is a photo community that encourages taking and posting a photo every day for a year.  A 365 day project.  I just have to say that it has been wonderful to have this goal of a daily photo for myself.  I have been shooting more the past 3 weeks than I have in a really long time, and I’m super excited with some of the images I’ve been fortunate enough to capture.  Another wonderful thing about this community is that I see new photographs every day from amazing photographers all over the world.  I will make periodic posts here with photos I’ve added to tookapic, as well as some photos that maybe I didn’t get to use.  I’m only allowed to post one photo a day, but sometimes it’s hard to choose just one if I’ve ended up with several that I like.  Today I’m sharing photos of flowers and plant life, stay tuned for more updates!  Or feel free to check out my page here https://tookapic.com/jenniferfaye

Little Bit Update

I'm trying to write a post from an application on my phone to see how it looks. So it may change up a bit from when originally posted, depending on if I'm happy with how it looks  once I have a chance to view it on my computer.

It's getting pretty hot here already so I took Little Bit a few days ago to get a short summer cut.  I do miss cuddling with the fluffy version, but he looks and feels much better for the hot weather! Here is a before and after.

He seems to have much more energy with the new cut!

He also had some work done at the vet yesterday, and had to be under anesthesia for a while.  He did great though and everything turned out fine!  But he was pretty tired and out of it for the evening.

In no time I'm sure he'll be back to his usual self, spoiled and adorable.

Thanks for looking!

What Have I been up to? Resin Crafting

Recently I have started working with Resin.  I can’t quite remember where I first saw or read about it, but I bought a kit from Hobby Lobby to give it a try a few months ago.  I really love it!  The possibilities are endless.  Printed images, hand drawn or painted images, or any number of inclusions can easily be turned into jewelry, key chains, etc.

Due to the popularity of Disney’s Frozen, many of my first creations were based on the movie.

And the following are just a few of my non Frozen inspired pieces.

Make a Wish!  The next two are all about wishes.  First there are embedded dandelion seeds, and then a miniature wishbone.

This is the first pendant I made using a pressed flower.  Glitter and a little wire wrapping make it a little more unique.  The flower darkened quite a bit but overall I like the way it turned out.

This one isn’t made with resin but It was my first attempt at a memory wire bracelet, and I loved it so wanted to share.

Thanks for taking a look!  I’ll be posting new projects and creations from time to time.

Recap–My First Wedding Shoot continued

When I was first going through my photos after the wedding I was so excited with the moments that I had captured for Mizza and Jose.  Then came the hard part, hours – and I mean hours – of editing.  Probably too many hours, but I’m still learning and will get things done quicker as I get more practice. I love editing, and in addition to getting every photo of a quality that I was happy with, I took some creative liberties to add a little unique artistic flare.  These are a few of my favorites.
