Lunar Eclipse

Last week on the morning of April 15, I set my alarm for 2:00AM to get up and watch the Total Lunar Eclipse.  As hard as it was to get out of bed in the middle of the night, it was definitely worth it to get to see something so unique.  In case you missed it, here is a composite of a few of the photos I took.  It doesn’t really do the event justice, but I was pretty happy with what I ended up with. I can’t wait until the next one to use what I learned from this to capture better images!

Christmas in Orlando Part 2

This is very late, but I wanted to share these photos, especially the ones of Little Bit.  I’ve been having a lot of trouble uploading to blogger.  Sorry!

I had a great time singing in EPCOT’s Candlelight Processional this year.  Music is very important to me, and singing combined with the large scale of any Disney production made it a great experience.

The choir has new risers now from the first time I participated back in 2010.  They look really nice, but now I stand at the top of the tree and the taller people are down close to the guest narrator.  I got to sing in the choir for performances by Whoopi Goldberg, James Denton, and Steven Curtis Chapman this year!

The Stage is beautifully decorated.

And the lighting effects are really neat.  It’s definitely a must see if you are ever at Disney during the Christmas season.

Our Christmas tree was very small this year due to limited space, but I was happy with the way it turned out!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!  I didn’t risk getting out in the craziness of Orlando/Disney for New Year’s Eve last night, but still had a great evening.  While the fireworks are amazing I’m sure, I prefer to enjoy a nice relaxing evening in with the people closest to me. However you rang in the New Year, I hope it’s a happy one!

Osborne Lights Part 3

These lights really are amazing.  The photographs don’t really do them justice, but these posts have just been my attempt to try and share a glimpse with anyone who isn’t able to see them in person.  Hope you enjoy!

Holiday Season

Hi there!  I’m finally back at my normal job for now, off restrictions from my injury.  I’m glad to be back performing and working with the people I know!  More importantly, no more almost daily trips to physical therapy, chiropractor, or doctor after work means I finally get more time for photos!  I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving, I did!  While I wasn’t able to go see my family back in North Carolina, I got to spend time with friends and family here and definitely had plenty of turkey to eat!  As much as I do love Thanksgiving, my favorite time of year is now in full swing.  Last Christmas was a little difficult for personal reasons, so I didn’t really get into the holiday spirit as much as I have in the past.  But this past year I have learned that faith in the world can be restored, if you are around the right people and allow yourself to let go of all the people and things that have hurt you and focus on the present.  Find a new angle to look at things, focus on what helps and leave out what doesn’t. I am so thankful for the people (and my dog of course) who have helped me come through a very hard time.  It has been a new beginning, and I’m looking forward to continuing some old and starting new traditions this holiday season!!

I love to look at Christmas lights.  I remember driving all around town with my parents and siblings growing up, just to see them.  I got a chance to go see the Osborne Lights at Hollywood Studios with my wonderful boyfriend and his family last week.  Here are a few photos of the sign, more of the lights to come!

For these below I was playing around with changing the zoom during a long exposure.  I think the result is very fun, and gives an interesting twist to what you normally see!
