The Tiny Tortoise

I returned from taking Little Bit for a walk the other day to find this little guy (or girl) lounging around in my driveway. 

Cozy as he looked, I didn’t think it was the best place for such a small thing to have a nap so relocated him to the back patio.  He insisted on finishing the nap.

It’s probably hard to tell from the previous photos, but just to give you an idea of how small my little friend was, he fit nicely into the palm of my hand.

After doing some research, I’m pretty sure it is a baby Gopher Tortoise.  This is an endangered species, so we had to say our goodbyes.  Bon Voyage Tiny Tortoise.

Introductions

Hi! I’m Jennifer, and this is Little Bit.  I generally prefer to be the one taking the photos, but Little Bit insisted that if I were going to be posting photos of him, I had to include at least one of myself.  So here we are!  We live in sunny Florida, and I work at “the happiest place on earth,” Walt Disney World.  Photography is a hobby that challenges me to try to see things in different ways.  (I think looking at anything, not just a scene to be photographed, from all points of view and angles is a great thing to be able to do.)  But back to photography - I love being able to look at a scene and capture it exactly the way I want others to see it.  Of course everyone sees things differently, this is just the view from my eyes.  Positive about Negatives will focus on photographs that help me keep positivity in my life.  That is not to say that everything on here will be cheery and sunny, it could sometimes just be a shot that I’m excited about artistically.  I would love to hear your feedback, and hear from those of you visiting my blog!  So please feel free to comment on anything, or email me about anything you see here.  Also, I welcome suggestions on any types of photos you would be interested in seeing.  I do work at Disney, so I will be posting from and about the Magical place, but if there is something specific you would like to see let me know and I’ll do my best!
